Special Fire Fighting Procedures – Protective clothing & pressure-demand, self-contained breathing apparatus should be worn where products is stored. Be careful or spraying water directly on product, it may spatter. If possible, remove containers from fire area and flammable hydrogen gas.

Unusual Fire and Explosion Hazards – Product can melt and flow when heated above 700 ºF. The hot material will react violently with water resulting in spattering. It also will react with some metals, such as aluminum, tin, zinc, to produce explosive & flammable hydrogen gas.

Health Hazards (Acute and Chronic)

Causes severe burns to all body tissues. Do not get in eyes, on skin, or clothing. Can be fatal if swallowed. Prolonged inhalation of the dust can cause burns of the respiratory tract.

Emergency and First Aid Procedures. 

Eyes— Flush with large amounts of cooling water for at least 15 minutes while holding upper and lower lids open.  If irritation persists get medical attention immediately.

Skin— See eyes

Inhalation—.Remove to fresh air. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Seek medical attention immediately. 

Ingestion— Do not induce vomiting. Give large quantities of water if a person I conscious. Give  several glasses of milk, followed with dilute vinegar or fruit juice. Get immediate medical attention.

Immediately pick up, avoid contact with skin, eyes or clothing. Place in sealable containers for reuse or disposal. Absorption of moisture will make cleanup difficult. Rinse area with dilute acid and water.

Store in a cool, dry area away from heat or open flame keep container tightly sealed and protected from moisture and water. Product is corrosive. Do not get on skin, eyes, or clothing. If spilled on clothing, remove clothing quickly and flush skin with water. Do not take internally. Can be fatal if swallowed. Avoid breathing dust.
